Shortly after 11 o'clock on the morning of Boxing-day, the usnal monotony of the village of Hlhikihi was pleaiantly ditturbed by the appearance of trooM of happy, looking equestrians cantaing briskly in frofn the adjoining settlements, to enjoy the Christmas sports.
