The usual monthly cattle sales were held this day, but, as prices, ruled very low, many were left unsold.— Haymaking has been pretty general during the la«t week or two, but, owing to the wet weather, a good deal ig damaged. — The School Committee met this day, and resolved to obtain the services of an asßistant-mistress, in the room of Miss Oarr, whose resignation ia very generally regretted. The school will be reopened on the 16th instant.— [Own - Correspondent.]
