Lynn, a waiter at the Empire Hotel, Westport, received eighteen months' imprisonment for embe&flement. Against P, Harris, - the SubTreasurer ou the gold£elds, a true bill haa beeii fennel on five charged of forgery, aod tWf> Cf lanreeny. He will be tried to-morrow. He is eJipeeted to plead guilty.
