THE THEATRES.
PRINCE OF WALES THEATRE. LAiST evening at the Prince of Wales Theatre there was but a very moderate attendance to witness the production of the drama of " The Lancashire Lass." Mr. Ryan as the old man, Job Armoyd, and Mr. B. N. Jones as Sir Gilberb Featherstone, played well, aa did also Mrs. Walter Hill (Nelly Armoyd) and Mrs. Mac Gowan (Tiddy Draggle thorpe, the Lancashire lass). Mr. McGowan was very amusing in the character of Blunkei*, the footman. The rest of the characters were fairly sustained. The peiformance commenced with the drama of "Monsieur Jacques," in -which Mr. OBrien appeared. To-night the same bill will be repeated. For Saturday, "Macbeth "is announced.
THEATRE ROYAL. The performance at the The >tre Royal last evening was arepetition of the drama of "The Gambler's Daughter" and " The Cockney in Corsica. " There was a moderate attendance, and the pieces passed off very successfully. To-night, the fine comedy of "London Assurance" will be produced, with Mrs. H. Jackson as Lady Gay Spanker,. Mr. Rayneraa Dazzle, and Mr. J. Simmonda as Dolly. Spanker.
