THE NEW MUSIC HALL.

For some time past considerable inconvenience lias been felt by those frequenting the entertainments at the New Music Hall, Symonds-street, from the want of a refreshment room conveniently near, and also of stabling accommodation for those coming upon horseback or gentlemen bringing their families in traps, there being no housing near for the horses during the continuance of the entertainment. This inconvenience is now about to be removed, as we understand that the committee have instructed Mr. Keals, architect, to prepare the necessary plans. These are ready, and tenders have been received for the erection of the refreshment room, which is to be between the hall and the barrack wall, a length of 72ft. by 12ft. in width. The main entrance to this room from the hall will be by the present escape door, facing the barrack wall, and another entrance will be by a door which is to be opened from the present cloak room. Farther back from the street, along by the barrack wall, we understand the stables will •be erected, and an open space in front will be prepared for a stand for carriages. When these alterations are made, an escape door will be opened on the opposite side of the hall to the present one, so that sufficient egress will be supplied, in the case of fire or any other panic.
