Payment will be made on the 13bh April, to the extent of 3,500,000d01. In the meanwhile, Eastern capital is fast finding its way into this market— just as we predicted would be th» case ; and one loan of 100.Q00d01,, Eastern funds, ha 3 been secured at 7 per cent. What effect this will exercise upon local rates, remains to be seen ; it, however, appeals probable that the high terms heretofore insisted upon will be somewhat modified."
