DUKE OF EDINBURGH THEATRE.
The performance at the above theatre last •yening was for the benefit of Mr. Joe Chambers, when the piece do resistance was the drama of " The Bottle," in which, as Coddles, Mr. Chambers was very amusing. Some Ringing and dancing followed the first piece, and the whole concluded with a laughable farce. This evening "The Ghost" will rna'«e it* first appearance, ant), as this sorb of thing is something new in Auckland, we hare no doubt theie will be a large attendance to wituajs its spectral performances. Mr. Foster, under whose supervision the arrangements have been made, ha? gone to considerable expense to make the spectacle as complete as possible, and we trust his efforts will be well supported by the playgoing portion of this city. The perfoimance eich evening will commence with a light comedy, aud conclude with a faro*.
