THATCHER'S ENTERTAINMENT.
The " inimitable " reappeared on the boards of the Prince of Wales Theatre last evening, w hen he waa welcomed by a fair audience. His debut was signalised by some new local songs which would vie with all their predecessors in point of excellence. Mrs. Thatcher had also prepared a choice programme for rehearsal, and her lively rendering of some of our best national airs was much appreciated by the audience. Of MrDaniels it is unnecessary for us to speak, his abilities as a singer being well known, and equally attractive whether applied to Russell's striking scenas, the amusing songs illustrated by Irish character, or the touching melodies, in. the production of which Moore was so prolific. The orchestra under Mr. Saloman also formed a leading attraction, and succeeded in doing what few theatrical orchestras can accomplish, by making the audience look upon their musical performances as no mean part of the entertainment. Mr. Daniels will take his benefit ting evening, when the performance m ill be under the patronage of the military. Two well-known local amateurs have promised their assistauco on the occasion.
