GRAHAM'S TOWN. (FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) July 27.
There have been a good many sales of small interests this week, but few of any importance. People here are looking forward anxiously for tho news by the 'Hero' as to whether much capital will flow into the place. I anticipate we shall have a very busy time for a few weeks when the Southern people commence investing, as they will most probably do, for the low rate of interest and difficulty of placing money out in the South Island 13 a fact that they cannot long disguise. We have not been startled with any rich finds lately, but now that the roads are rapidly improving we shall hear more of the back claims than we have done for some time back. I enclose to-day's Stock Exchange list, which will speak for itself. _^
