PROSPECTUS OF THE NORTHERN LIGHT GOLD-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED). To be Registered under the Joint Stock Companies Act, 1860. Frank Brodie, Esq., Sec. pro tern. The ground of this Company, a lease of which has been obtained, amounts to 10 acres. It is Bituated in block 74, Waitakere East, on freehold property well fenced, aud is bounded by the West Coast Road. The reef has been traced in a direct line for about twenty chains, running north-east and south-west. The land is well supplied with a quantity of superior fallen timber for slabbing and othor mining purposes, and. there is also an abundant supply of water for machinery on the ground. A quantity of quartz taken out of the claim by one of the original shareholders has been tested by the Aaaayer of the Bank of New Zealand, and yielded at the rate of4oz. 16dwt. Jsgr. to the ton, of the estimated value per oz. of twenty-two carats of standard gold. This test was within a few grains of a previous one from tho same grouud, made by Dr. Aicken, of AuckUnd, last year, Owing to the specific gravity of the metal, 90 per cent, of the gold may, according to the report of the a^sayer, be saveil with the machinery now iv use at the Thainea Goldfields, by the exercise of ordinary care in crushing. The property in the Company is now divided into 100 Promoters' shares, each of which will represent ten shares in the Company when fully registered. Fifteen of these shares will be rftained by the present holders of the property, and will represent paid up bhfcrpß in the Company, ahe capital of the Company will be paid up by calls not exceeding 2s. per share in any one month.
