Wellington, Monday, August 10. Colonel JEattltain goes to Whanganui and Patea to-night, to attempt to set matters right in that quarter, as there are quarrels between the officers and great confusion. Colonel Haultain has paired with Mr. Eollesfcon. Tuesday, August 11. Only small speeches were delivered in the great debate on Friday last. The debate twill probably not close until Wednesday. It is estimated that the Government will have a majority of seven.
