MILITARY ITEMS.
A gunnbe of the Royal Artillery, named Moon, died in hospital in Albert Barracks on the 12th instant. His remains were interred with military honours on the 13th instant. The deceased was about receding his discharge with pension, having completed his full term of service. Lieutenant -Mulloy, R.Jfl., garrison adjutant, attended the funeral to the Church of England cemetery. Twenty-three rank and file, besides non-commis-sioned officers, of the 18th Royal Irish, moved into Fort Britomart on the evening of the 13th instant, and will be quartered there until further orders. The men belong to F, or Captain Toppin's Company.
