The notice convening the meeting having been read by the City Board Returning Officer, and the eleotors having been called upon to propose a candidate, , -, Mr. Robert Baktley. proposed Mr. George Staines as a fit and proper person to represent the ward. Mr. J. Beix, Nelson-itreet, seconded. Mr. O'Robkk : Do the electors wish to propose any other candidate ? . No one coming forward, Mr. George Staines wu declared to be duly eleoted to serve, on the City Board of Commissioners for West Ward No. 2.
