The Whanganui Chronicle of June 4 says : — Mr. Finnimore held a sale of the entire cargo of the 'Jeanie Duncan on Thursday. There was a large attendance at the sale, and, with the exception of flour (which is at present a good stock to hold in any quantity), the biddiag was spirited and high. The following are a few of the quotations :—: — Chicken wheat, 5* Gd per bushel : seed wheat, 10s ; seed oats, 4s to 4s 3d ; bran, Is 5d to Is 6d ; sharp*, llg tcT 12s. Price's Belmonb (not open; candles, Is 3d per lb. ; and Port Cooper oheeae, 6d to 8d per lb.
