NORFOLK ISLAND.

Thh missionary schooner ' Southera Cross' arrived from Norfolk Island on Saturday last, with the fol. lowing passengers : —The Rev. J. A.tkin, Rev. C. Brookes, Mr. Gordon, and Mr. Jakins. Captain Tilly reports that 16 deaths had occurred from low typhoid fever at the mission station, and that the disease, though now abating, has been very prevalent on the island. Bishop Patteson remains at Norfolk Ulan I, and has decided not to visit the islands this year.
