BT the schooner * Jane,' nhich arrived in harbour frjm Tamang* yesterday, we are apprised that the information contained m a private oorre«pondent » letter, pu lwhed on the 27th May, that the whole of the Tauranga frontier from Oropi to Wbakamarama was to be "kati" during the months of May «nd June, proves to be comet. This line will include PaeogAroa, Eaimai, and the other uative settlements visited by the expeditionary foroe in the commencement of la'rt >ear. A j>a is in course of erection by Hauhan* ab Tawhiti, in the vicinity of Pai's Pa, now garrisoned by a dotaohment of W»ikato militiamen. A party of lurfeyora ha^e also been compelled to abandon operations through the threats of natirea, aad return to Te P»pa.
