Drukkennbss. — Robert Hill, William Allen, John George, and Ann Shields were punished for this offence.

Lakoeny.— James Ryan, a private of the 18th Regiment, pleaded guilty to the charge of stealing a pockefcbook, containing some documents, from the Wynyard Hotel, the property of John Love, valued at ss. The prisoner pleaded drunkenness as an excuse. Hia Worship commented strongly on the evils of intemperance, and sentenced the prisoner to fourteen days' imprisonment with hard labour.

Wilful Disobedience. — William Bradley, an articled seaman on board the ship 'Maori,' was charged, on the information of Captain D, T. Koberts, with wilful disobedience of orders on board ship, contrary to the provisions of the Merchant Shipping Act, 1864. —The accused pleaded guilty, and was to seven days' imprisonment with hard labour, and at the expiration of the sentence to be put on board ship.

&MASHING WINDOWS OP NEW SUPREME COTOThoctse. — Walter Greea pleaded guilty to a charge of committing a breach of the Municipal Police Act by smashing four panes of glass in the windows of the New Supreme Court-house. — The prisoner could not give any reason for committing the act. A fewyears ago the prisoner made an attempt on his own life. He was sentenced to one month's imprisonment with hard labour. — This concluded the business before the Court.
