WEEKLY SUMMARY. There has been a fair ampunt of shipping buiiness during the past week. We have had one interprovincial arrival, and two interprovinoial and six foreign departures. Oa the ith, the s.s. Egmont left for Sydney, with the Suez mail, and 32 passengers. On the 6th, the brig Lady,AJicia left for Newcastle, with a general cargo. On the 7th, the brig Alarm sailed for Melbourne, calling at Whangaroa to load 120,000 feet of timber for that market ; and the schooner Queen left the same day for Lyttelton, via Mercury Bay, with 37,000 feet timber. > On the Bth, the brig Kit* sailed for Sydney, with a general cargo And paasengen; and the brig Dart, for the sameoplace, in ballast. The brig Fawn arrived on the 9th from Lyttelfcon, with a cargo of grain ; and the brig Waverley sailed for Hong Kong, with a cargo of general merchandise ; the schooner A spasia also sailed the same day for Lyttelton, calling at Tairua to reload timber. The schooner Sea Breeze arrived on the 4th from the Bay of Islands, with a quantity, of settlers' produce ; and the schooner Herald from the same place, with coals. On the 6th, the schooners , Sea Breeze and Joanna left for the Bay of Islands, with sundries, and the cutter Marwell for Hokianga,i vribH otoica. . Oa tbo Obh, the SOhoOnor JranhOO arrived from Mangonui, and the schooner Jane from Tauranga. The schooner Eugenie is transhipping a portion of her cargo from the South Sea Islands to the ship Maori for England. The schooners Tawera, Rose Ann, Julia, and Fortune are baing repaired; and the cutter Eagle, which recently arrived from the Fiji Island?, his been purchased by Captain Loverock, and is now receiving a ketch rig. ARRIVAL OF THE SCHOONER ALBATROSS. The schooner Albatross arrived last evening from Lyttelton, via Tauranga, with the Earl of Pembroke, Dr. Kingsley, Dr. Steel, Mr. Mitchell, and two servants. She left Lyttelton on the 20th March, arrived at White Island on the 28bb, and atTauranga on the 29th. Left Tauranga on the Bth April, arriving in harbour as above. The Albatross is a fine schooner of 85 tons, built by Messrs. Eiccol, of this port, and is commanded by Captain Braund, well known by the commercial community of Auckland. She has been chartered by , the Earl of Pembroke, to be used as a yacht for twelve months, and has been fitted up in a handsome i and comfortable style. The crew occupy the forepart of the vessel, and the captain's cabin is in the after-part, the whole of the hold being taken up for a saloon and sleeping cabins. !

The schooner Tauranga arrived from the Bay of 1 Islands yesterday morninsf, with 100 cases of gum, and eight passengers. She left Russell on Wednesday sight, and experienced light north-east winds ■along the coast till arriving as above. The steamers Tauranga, Enterprise No. 2, and , Midge arrived from the Thames at an early hour , yesterday, crowded with passengers, who came up to spend the Easter holidays in a uckland, having received protection until Tuesday, The steamers Tauranga and Enterprise No. 2 left again for the goldfields about midday, taking down a number of excursionists. The schooner Kauri, Captain Sayce, was compelled to put into this port yesterday evening, through stress of weather. She left Lyttelton on Thursday on Thursday last, bound to Auckland, with a • cargo of flour and grain. She proceeds on her course this evening.-— Wellington Evening Post, March 31.
