QUANTITY OF GOLD RECEIVED AND EXPORTED DURING THE WEEK.

The s.s. 'Egmoot,' which left for Sydney en April 4th, took 1,0210z. lgr. gold on account of the Union Bank of Australia, and 4370z. shipped by the Bank of Australasia. The reoeipt of gold in Auckland within the past few days, from the various claims now being worked at the Thames goldfields, has been very satisfactory. The 'Tauranga was the bearer on the 3rd inst. of 1,200 ounces of gold, 900 ounces of which were the product of Hunt and Co.'s olaim. On the 4th the cutter ( Wanderer' brought up 83 ounces of gold from the Kapanga gold mine, being the product of a fortnight's crushing. A piece of quartz, thickly impregnated with gold, weighing about 37 pounds, was brought to town from the Thames on the 4th. The stone had been washed down the creek, and its value has been estimated at £50. 720 ounces of gold came up from the Thames on account of the Bank of New Zealand on the 9th. Mr. G. C. Reid also brought up 414 ounces, the product of 451b, stone from the Alburnia Claim, Moanataiari, and lodged it in the Bank of New Zealand. Tbe Bank of Mew Zealand will ship about 3,000 ounces of gold in the ( Airedale l on the 18th, for England, via Panama.
