Money is plentiful ; the demand is extremely moderate. Consols, 93£ to 63J. Trade continues inactive. Notwithstanding the plentifulness of money, Australian securities are in steady demand. Occasionally considerable investments are made in them. At a meeting of the English, Scottish, Australian Chartered Bank a dividend of seven per cent, per annum was declared, with £5,000 to the reserve fund. The exports to Victoria show a falling off last year, as compared with the previous year, of £1,400,000. The exports to Sydney also declined.
