I have just heard that the ' Taraipene' was last seen anchored under Young Nick's Head (Poverty Bay). She is supposed to have slipped her cable at the commencement of the late heavy gale and stood out to sea. It is, poasible, therefore, that she ia ia safety at Hicks's Bay £ I most sincerely gtrust it may be found to be the case. Mr. Campbell, the Mahia pilot, and his wife, were on board. . The report of the wreck of the 'Henry'on the M*hia beach is quite true; all hands saved.— HawkJs Bay Herald.
