Friday, 11th January, 1861. Exchange on London for first-class credits at G months, was 2 shillings and 3 half-pence. Buyers on Calcutta and Bombay, 99. Freight to London dead weight 3 to 3.5, and on jute 315 and 0 to 316 and 6, seeds 312-6. The 57th Eegiment have sailed from Bombay, in the ships Star Queen and Castilian, for New Zealand. The New Zealand colonists now in the United Kingdom are about to form themselves into a committee to collect subscriptions on behalf of the unfortunate settlers of Taranaki, who have recently lost their property. A resolution to this effect was carried at the last meeting of the colonists at the New Zealand colonists' rooms, London.
