The Contract to commence on Ist December, and ~ t erm'nate on the 31st March, 1861. The terms and conditions will be the same as those published in tho " New Zealander" newspaper, of 4th February last, inviting Tenders for Annual Contracts. Commissariat, New Zealand, Auckland, Bth Nov., 1860. rpHE Contractor for supplying Fresh Beef to Her JL Majesty's Naval Forces, at Onehunga, having given the stipulated notice lor discontinuing his Contract , Tenders in duplicate will be received at this Office, until noon of SATURDAY, the 17th instant, for supplying — FRESH BEEF, at per pound, to be delivered in such quantities, and at such time a nd places in Onehunga, or in the Manukau H»rt,our, as may be directed by the Naval Authorities. The Contract to commence on the Ist December, 1860 ; and terminate on the 31st March, 1861. The Fresh Beef to be of the best quality, and to be subject to approval in the manner directed by the regulations for Her Majesty's Navy. If any portion should be rejected after its de!i\eiy on board any of Her Majesty's Ships, the Contractor will be required immediately to replace it, failing which, the power to purchase at his expense to rest with the Paymaster of the Ship. The Fresh Beef to be delivered in Fore and Hind Quaiters alternately, six inches to be cut off the hough and neck bones. Each Tender to be accompanied by a statement signed by two competent persons, becoming securities for the due performance of the Contract. No transfer of a Conti act will be permitted without the previous consent of the Senior Commissariat Officer at Auckland. Payments will be made monthly, either by the Paymaster of each Ship, or on the production of proper documents, by this Department.Any further information as well as printed forma of Tendeis, can be obtained at this Office.
