The "New Zealand Government Gazette/ issued on Tuesday last, gives notice that the Officer Administering the Government has, in pursuance of the authority vested in him, declared his disallowance of an Ordinance enacted by the Superintendent and Provincial Council of Wellington, to enable the Judge of the Supreme Court at Welling" ton to exercise certain powers vested in the Superintendent in case of the absence of the Superintendent from the Province. A series cf Instructions, under Her Majesty's Signet and Sign Manual, which accompanied the j New Zealand Ci nstltution Act, and which ar^P dated at Balmoral the 13th of September, 1852, are now first published for general information. Attention is sought to be called to the requirements of the laws relating to the Registration of Births, Deaths, and Marriages, and a Summary of certain Provisions is published. John Tylston Wicksteed, Esq., has been appointed a Justice of the Peace for the Province of Wellington. William Hulme, Esq , has been appointed (to date from Ist January) Postmaster for the Province of Auckland. A scries of By-Laws of the Hundred of Onehunga have received the assent of the Officer Administering the Government, and are published, for general information.
