Guests Attend Musicale
Flowers were presented to Lady Duff, wife of the United Kingdom High Commissioner, when she was welcomed at the E.S.U. women’s social afternoon yesterday. Other guests of honour were Mrs. AV. A. Riddell, wife of the Canadian High (Commissioner, Airs. AVang Feng, wife of the Consul-General for China. Mrs. O. S. Watson, wife of the commercial attache, American Legation, who has recently arrived in AA’ellington, Mrs. J. T. Martin, wife of the new president of the E.S.U. in AVellington. and Miss Elsie K. Alorton. The programme took the form of a musicale arranged by Airs. J. Bennie. Items were as follows: —Songs, Airs. L. Cronin, Airs. AVard, Aliss Una. AA’eller; vocal duets, Alesdames Coventry; vocal trios. Alesdames Coventry and Hayden; pianoforte solo. Aliss Beryl Richardson; violin solo, Miss Patricia Hammond ; elocutionary item. Airs. C. Alclntyrc. The accompanists were Alesdames AlcCallum. The performers. Airs. J. T. Alartin and Airs. Bennie, were presented with flowers.
