Buckleton expressed the opinion that if work could ' be guaranteed on the farms, it might be possible to arrange for a permanent man in the area. The chairman, Mr. R. Sievers, said that some members of his branch thought the scheme rather . impracticable, but some were enthusiastic about it and they had arranged that inquiries be made among farmers. t Air AV. A. Taylor said that some farmers in his district were against the idea. . „ Relief for the permanent man on <i farm io enable him to take a holiday would be justification for the scheme, said Mr Sievers.
