SMALLER SCHOOL CLASSES
Mr. N. R. Seddou at yesterday s meeting of the Wellington Education Board gave notice of his intention to move as follows ut: the next meeting:—■ . “That the board represents to the Government the wgeut need for substantial reduction in the size of classes Hl primary schools and urges the Got eminent to take immedate steps to secure such reduction at the earliest possible date bv planning now for the’, followin-: (1) The necessary revision .01 stnffiug regulations; (2) the prynsion for an increase in training college students with a view to providing the increased number of teachers; (o) the increase of accommodation necessary, contingent on the reduction of the size of classes, and further that the executive be requested to pursue this representation with the department.
