N.Z. Guarantee Corp. Profit The accounts ot the New Zealand Guarantee Corporation, Ltd., fot the year ended August. 31 show a net. profit of £4352, compared with .£4170 last year, a.nd £4128 in 1942. The directors propose a dividend of ltd. a share, free of security taxes, equal to 4 1-6 per ccut., an unchanged rate, absorbing £4425. and leaving £3863 to be carried forward against £3905 brought in. The report states Mint business during the year was considerably restricted. The retiring directors, Messrs. G. W. Magnus aud K. D. Duncan offer themselves for re-election. Gold Mining The following returns are for the first half of October: Barry town, 231 ounces for 912 hours from 73,060 yards; Kaniert, 499 ounces, 227 hours, 75,000 yards: Arabura, 1098 ounces. 252 hours, 127,000 yards.
