EMPIRE AIR SCHOOLS
RUGBY, October 13. The success of the Empire central flying school, whose object is to ensure that the training of pilots throughout the British Commonwealth is kept at a high and progressive standard, has led to a decision to organize central navigation and air armament schools on similar world-embracing lines. The main objects of the Empire central navigation school are to ensure the quality; of air navigation instruction and to train a limited number of specialist navigators and officers so that they will be competent to act as links between practical avialion and scientific research.
The Empire air nmimiant school will adopt a similar policy, which will include specialized work at a central gunnery school. The three Empire schools are in the Jiving training command of the R.A.F.
