MINIATURE RIFLES

The YVellington South Miniature Rille Club held its weekly shoot on the Buckle Street range. The first round of a competition for a trophy donated by one of the tiou for a tropiny donated by a club member was contested, aud the best scores were returned by B. YVard, 68: L. Smith, 66; -C. Adams, 66; C. Nyberg, 62; and Mise Stratford, 61. This competition will extend over'this month, consisting of four shoots, the trophy -being awarded to the contestant returning the best three shoots. The Melrose 'Home Guard (ißeserve) Miniature 'Rille Club’s last shoot saw 10 members with a score of 00 or more out of the possible-T0.,. V. Wilson’s team won the club badge. Scores: N. Boag 67, V. YVilson 66, A. .E."Unswortli 65, K. Turner 60, total 258. Other team scores: Mawbinney's 210, Waterworth’s 237, Nattras’s 235. Other individual scores: (McKeown aud Biddle 67 each, F. YY’aterwortli 66, D. Quinn 65, J. YVilton 64, Nattrass 60. At. the Public 'Service, Island Bay (Homo Guard) and Social Security Clubs’ recent shoot there were IS scores above SO (possible 90). Two members scored the possible. Five members tied iu the “own staYt” competition: C. Butters, L. K. Fear, S. Laing, B. L. YVhite and V. Wilson. Individual scores: Public Service (C. Butters and V.
