Vice-Regal. Government House, Wellington. October 10. Her Excellency Lady Newell visited Young Women’s Christian Association centres iu Palmerston North today. Mr. John Farrell arrived at Wellington from the south yesterday Io coinplelc arrangements for the Williamsou Comedy Company’s return season. Mr. Sydney Grccnbic, special, assistant to the United States Minister in New Zealand, was elected an honorary vicepresident of the British-American Co-op-erntion Movement at its recent annual meeting, and Mrs. Greenbie was elected to the same office. Dr. Robert Hurst, son of Mr. and Mrs. P. G. Hurst, Nelson, has been awarded the George Medal for gallantry during the bombing of London. Educated at Nelson College and Canterbury University College, he graduated M.Sc. with honours and continued post-graduate study at Cambridge for his doctorate.
