In the first round of a Navy Rugby tournament played at Strand I ark. Lower Hutt, yesterday. Canterbury beat Wellington 8-6. Thorp was no further s-core till dose on half-time, waen Torn, after a headlong dash down the side of the field, ran behind the posts for a try. With only another three point* necessary for a win Wellington rallied for a final thrust, bur though Nacra went over in the corner for what appeared to be a try it was not allowed and the game ended!
