NEW ASSAULT TRANSPORTS
(Received September 28, 9.30 p.ui.)_ WASHINGTON, September 2i. New types of assault transports and assault cargo vessels designed to entry fighting forces and supplies directly to an invasion shore, have been given first priority, said the Navy Secretary, Mr. rorresl'al. at a Press conference. Mr. I’oreestal explained that the assault ships can load troops and supplies in the United States ami transport them across the ocean ready to move ashore under battle conditions.
