Griffin Beats Gordon (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, September 27. In a professional welterweight boxing contest before an attendance of 2000 at the Town Hall tonight, Jim Griffin (Wellington), 9.ll,’beat Clarrie Gordon, 9.13, by a knock-out in the third round. Gordon was lloored just before ti>e end of the second round, but the gong saved him.
