FIRST PRIZE WINNER AN EX-SERVICEMAN

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PAHIATUA, September 27. Winner of the lirst prize of £2OOO in the Leap with Joy Art Union is a returned man of the present war. He is Mr. J. Sigvertsen. Eketahuna, who was invalided home iu May, 1913, after considerable service iu the Middle East, where he was badly wounded. Mr. Sigvertsen Is a partner with his father in a carrying business. He represented the Bush districts at Rugby this year. Mr. Sigvertsen proposes to invest a considerable sum in the Victory Loan.
