Navy Tournament The management committee o£ the Wellington Rugby Union, at its weekly meeting last night, granted permission to the Navy Rugby Football Flub to hold a tournament at 'Strand Park, at which Navy teams from Canterbury, Auckland and Wellington will compete tomorrow anil on Friday. The tournament will conclude on Saturday, when the Wellington and Auckland Naw teams will meet at Athletic Park at 1.-'IO p.m., as a curtain-raiser to the New Zealand v. New Zealand Services match. The Wellington Rugby Football League wrote thanking the Wellington union for its magnanimous gesture in allowing the league the use of the .Pelone Recreation Ground, thereby assisting the league in its effort to raise funds for patriotic purposes. ‘.'lay I extend my congratulations to von on your eminently successful season’ and trust tiiat your code may flourish alongside ours for many years to come, added the hon. secretary of the league, Jlr. Kia Tea club, Poxo Ground, Wellington, on Saturday next; Seatoun v. Afasterton, fourth grade teams, at Seatoun Park, on Saturday next.
