Approached By Allies (Received August 26. 1.40 a.m.) LONDON, August 25. The British have driven to within 10 miles of the Germans’ Main Gothic Line after capturing an important series of small villages in an area some. 30 miles east of. Florence, says Reuter’s correspondent at the Allied headquarters in Italy. There were indications yesterday that the Germans have already withdrawn from this sector to the Gothic Line itself. , Polish forces have reached the mouth of the Metauro River on the Adriatic coast. _____
