Free World Celebrates Paris News

.Since yesterday morning, from all corners of the free world announcers in all languages have untiringly broadcast the news of the liberation of Paris, says Reuter's. The strains of the “Marseillaise” after their announcements have never before been heard so often and from so many places simultaneously. The Germqn home and foreign broadcasts have maintained rigorous silence about the fall of Paris. Moscow radio, in a special talk to lhe Gei'man army, said: "It won’t be long before the whole of France is liberated. We know that Germany has no more reserves to stem the rising Allied tide in the west.” The 8.8. C. today stepped up its service for France. The slogan for all transmissions was: “Victory is on the march.” Last night was a gala night in Moscow, says the British United Press correspondent: in the eapit;:!. The Russians celebrated the big victories in Rumania and the freeing of Paris. The people stood in the streets and cheered when the fall of Paris was announced.
