WARTIME CONTROLS
A request that a select committee be appointed io report as to what extent, in what ordeb and when wartime controls and restrictions can be removed was made by Mr. Sutherland (Opposition, Hauraki) and Mr. Oram (Opposition. Manawatu) in a joint question of which they cave notice to tiie I’rime -Minister, Air. Fraser, in tiie House yesterday. They said in a note to their question that industrial conscription, trading restrictions and extensive bureaucratic controls were causing restiveness in Um country.
