New Zealand Billiards Championship (By Telegraph.—Press Association.! CHRISTCHURCH. August 22. In the New Zealand 'billiard championship the second round results were:—L. Holdsworth, Auckland, GOT (48 and 41), beat V. Cheat, Canterbury, 574 (41 and 37); J. Shepherd, Auckland,. 666 (48 and 43) beat J. Munro, Canterbury, 531 (56 and 39) ; C. -Peek, Wellington, OGG (61 and 52) beat F. Higgins, West Coast. lIS (GS and 53).
SNOOKER CHAMPIONSHIP
The semi-finals of the Wellington amateur snooker championship conducted last night resulted as follows:—W. 11. Davies (Lower Hutt) beat 11. -C. McQueen (Central), 10S-107; S. Dawson (Comm. Trav.) beat E. L. Elvy (Cosy Chib), 120-82. In the second semi-final, Davies beat W. R. Hill (Victory). 104-54.
Tonight at 7 p.m., the, ( ./flnal will be played -between Dawtson and Davies, the best out of five games.
