The poles on the course proper were about 50ft. out and tills track was used for the fast work. Theioress sprinted home from the three furlongs in 44 2-5. Greek Effort buu Merger as a companion over a mile, lliey ran the first five furlongs in 1.12, and completed the distance in 1.57. Buttle Royal and -Martial Note sot the main time for the morning by running five furlongs in 1.8 2-5. In a similar task Desert Victory was too good for Lady Bev in 1.10 3-5. Intense and Subdued were on terms at the end of six furlongs which took 1.25 4-j. It was not an impressive effort. Saludos, a member of B. Burgess’s team, ran home from the three furlongs iu 43. Whackle was much too good for Classform and Kinsman when running five furlongs in 1.0 2-5. Whackle looks in great order and Classform is again working .well. Rink, Don Quex and Sivnl finished together well ahead of Dunbar at the end of a mile in 1.59 4-5, the last three furlongs in 43 1-5. The pace was not full on at any part of the gallop. Brolvelne was also sent over a mile, and in covering the distance in 1.55 3-5 was responsible for a nice effort, the last three furlongs being run in 42 3-5. Gold Bridge was clear of The Champ at the conclusion of a mile’ in 1.58 1-5, the last three furlongs in 43 1-5. Stoney Broke and Sovereign Lad, who are both doing well, ran seven furlongs In 1.42, the last three in 45. Theolateral was going nicely alongside Magic Art at the end of six turlongs run in 1.27 3-5. The two-year-olds Duplicity and Controller ran home from the three furlongs in 40 1-5. They were followed by the full brother to Subdued and the Ringmaster—Scarf Dance filly, this pair registering 39 1-5. Duncannon and Sporting Gold went twice round over the hurdles and made no mistakes. I’halaria, who shows aptitude for jumping, cleared six hurdles at a sound pace. Light Moments gave a splendid exhibition of fencing in company with Lady Mldian when they went once round.
