QUADRANGULAR TOURNEY
Though mishandling and some weak tackling marred the team performances, some promising individual form was witnessed at the secondary schools quadrangular Rugbv tourney held at Scots College on Saturday. The Dannevirke High School full-'back, M. Southce, in particular, impressed as n player with a promising future, handling soundly and kicking strongly with either foot. The half-back, A. Tamati, also displayed marked promise. The Governor-General and party were present. Results were:— Walrarapa College 8 (N, Stewart a try, converted by H. Hemi. who also kicked a penalty goal) bent Hutt Valley High School 3 (a trv by K. Grindle). Dannevirke 'High School 12 (tries by W. Allardice 2, W. Hargravfes and Y. Logan) beat Scots College 5 (a try by W. Martin, converted by H. Lee). Dannevirke and Walrarapa will meet in
the final today at 2.45 p.m., and Hutt and Scots lu the early game commencing at 2 p.m.
