Christ’s Beat Wellington (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, August 20. After a break of four years, the annual Inter-colleglate football tourney between Nelson College, Wellington College, Wanganui Collegiate School, and Christ’s College was resumed yesterday at Christ's College ground. Nelson 12, beat Wanganui 0 and Christ’s 8, beat Wellington 3. 'The Cnrist’s College forwards took play to Wellington territory, and from a penalty E. 11. Richards goaled. Nicholls received the ball from a serum and sent it on to Roberts. The latter imide a nice opening for Parkinson to score for Wellington. The kick failed. Christ’s College 3, Wellington College 3. McLeod made a good run and had Christ’s College defending. Richards saved by a long line kick and Douglas went through the Wellington team, but a knock-ou spoiled the advantage. The score was still 3-all at halftime. In the second spell. Gudgeon got the ball nt half-way and made a bolt for the line, where lie was pushed out. Keeping up the pressure, Douglas picked up smartly. Ho beat the opposition and passed out to Bransgrove. who went over to score. E. H Richards converted. Christ’s College 8, Wellington College 3. Bransgrove followed up fast, and a try looked certain, but he lost the ball on the touch down. Wellington were attacking when the game ended: Christ’s College 8, ’Wellington College 3.
