GERMAN ATROCITIES
List Growing Longer (Received August 20, 9 pan.) LONDON, August 19. Algiers radio broadcast a statement from General Alexander’s headquarters warning the German Army that the documented list of Germans who. committed atrocities against Italian civilians was steadily growing larger. It added: “When an armistice is granted to Germany, those responsible fqr atrocities will be sent 'back to those countries in which their abominable misdeeds were , committed, and will be punished according to the laws of those countries.”
