German Plan To Bomb U.S. Cities From Normandy (Received August 17, 9.30 p.m.) MEXICO CITY, August 17. General Gustavo Salinas, the Mexican Air Force chief, who recently returned from a tour of the European war theatre, reported that Allied troops discovered a giant robot launching ramp on the Normandy Peninsula designed to use 16-ton bombs which would travel in the stratosphere across the Atlantic and descend on United States seaboard cities.
