TIES WITH GERMANY
(Received July 24. 10 p.m.) NEW YORK, July 24.
General Noboyuki Abe, president of the Imperial Rule Assistance Political Society’, which is the Parliamentary Division of the Imperial Rule Assistance Association. Japan's only political party, has resigned because of “unavoidable circumstances,” followin'’ the formation of the new Cabinet, says Tokio official radio. Tokio radio also quotes a Japanese news agency report that the new Prime Minister, General Koiso, told correspondents that Japan was further strengthening her ties with Germany in a positive pursuit of the common war objective. He added that efforts would be made toward befriending neutrals, so that they could offer positive co-operation to Japan. Japan was maintaining friendly relations with the Soviet and exerting her best efforts to avoid unnecessary provocations.
