PETER’S CHOICE RUNS GOOD TRIAL
Dominion Special Service. HAWERA, June 1. . Gallops of Hawera horses engaged at the Wanganui meeting on Monday were ‘performed on the course proper, the pegs 'being 45ft. out. Peter’s Choice (Holland) turned the tables on Man-power (Ainslie), defeating hini iby two lengths at the end of nye furlongs in I.OJ. Peter’s Choice is in tiptop order and looks sure to run well in coming engagements. * Vermette (George) and Bing Cluer (Eales) finished with little between them at the end of six furlongs in 1.21, the last three in 42. Ring Chief, Vermette, Peter’s Choice and Man-power will fulfil engagements at the Wanganui and Manawatu meetings. W. Aitken has been engaged to ride Vermette and Ring Chief at Marton. Man* power will be ridden by A. G. Waddell. B La Pouple walked Cetawayo a 8 far as Waverley on Tuesday and is expected at Wanganui today.
