The acceptances received by the Methven Trotting Club for its meeting today are greatly In excess of what might reasonably have been expected in view of the restrictions placed on horses travelling these days, and, even allowing for substantial scratchings, the fields promise to be rather too bulky. Excellent racing should be the order of the day, and there Is room for a <iomplete surprise in nearly every race.
