There were no scratching for the Southland Racing Club’s patriotic race meeting tomorrow, up to 5 p.m. today, but Sal’s Pal may not start in the Air Force Handicap. Inscrutable has two engagements tomorrow, but his mission will be the, Naty Handicap, and he will be ridden by the apprentice. D. Dawson. He is in excellent order, and is one of the favourites for the rgtee. Sir Saladin lost some, skin at the Gore meeting, but he is hitting out freely again, and promises to be hard to beat in Hie Navy Handicap. Sir Percy gave a dashing display ,of jumping this morning, and is regarded ns a likely novice contender for the hurdle honours tomorrow.

W. Hillis will ride Sir Percy and Spanish Main in their jumping engagements tomorrow. T. .T. Boyle will ride AngloFrench nnd P. .T. Boyle will be on Noko. They will be bracketed with Spanish Main.
