YORKSHIRE MINERS’ STRIKE SPREADS
Forty Thousand Men Out (Received March 24, 8.15 p.m.) LONDON, March 23. Strikes today spread through the Soutk Yorkshire coalfields, and by night 40,000 men were on strike and 2a pits were affected. It is feared the strike may extend further while the mens leaders are away attending the conference m London on the Porter award The loss of coal output is now estimated at oU.UUU tons a day.
